Head of Decarbonized Energy Systems & Concepts | Siemens Energy
As Head of Decarbonized Energy Systems & Concepts at Siemens Energy, Jochen Schaefer and his team work with customers from various industries to design an optimal energy system designed to meet the customers' decarbonization target. The team's main focus is to support customers reduce the carbon footprint at the minimum cost by conducting a comprehensive analysis of the current energy system based on the multi-modal energy system design. Since he joined the company's Corporate Technology in 2008, Jochen has led a number of flagship research programs in the field of thermal energy conversion & storage, distributed energy system and multi-modality of energy systems. Jochen holds PhD in Engineering from the Friedrich-Alexander University, Germany.
Hartmut Oehme
Director Brownfield Transformation Combined Cycle Solution | Siemens Energy
With a background of nearly 30 years in power plant services, modernization & upgrades and plant retrofits, Hartmut Oehme is heading a newly established team for Brownfield Transformation solutions within Siemens Energy Service. Besides the offerings for brownfield engine exchange (BEX) of OEM and oOEM gas turbines, he and his team are supporting customers in the transition or re-purposing of existing coal fired power plants into a decarbonized future with innovative, comprehensive and tailor-made repowering solutions. Hartmut holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
