Precipitation hardening gives the alloy the capability to withstand temperatures up to approx. 850 °C. In addition, additively manufactured hardware using IN939 has shown moderate to good weldability, depending on hardware geometry. This material is more suitable for complex AM parts such as heat shields and vanes.
